Hobbit 2.0 is a rapidly deployable underground modular civil-defence shelter made of high-quality, reliable Б35/Б40 concrete that meets high strength and quality requirements.
It is an improved version of the original Hobbit 1.0, developed to updated DBN and DSTU requirements and standards. The key difference of the new version is the wall and arched-roof thickness increased to 180 mm.
The shelter is assembled from any number of modules — lengthwise or sideways. As needed, each module can be supplemented with entrance modules, stair sets and canopies. This makes Hobbit 2.0 a versatile solution for different tasks: from personal protection to protecting schools.
An underground solution offers maximum protection and is almost invisible on site. It is chosen when the module can be buried — so there is an extra layer of soil above and the plot stays free.
