On August 1, 2025, DSTU 9329:2025 came into force: Hobbit House shelters ensure compliance and exceed requirements

On August 1, 2025, the new standard DSTU 9329:2025 "Primary Mobile Shelters" came into force in Ukraine. It sets modern safety requirements for protective structures:

  • resistance to blast waves from 100 kPa,

  • protection against fragments and prevention of secondary fragmentation,

  • fast installation without a foundation and mobility,

  • shelter height of at least 2 meters,

  • at least two separate exits, including accessibility for people with limited mobility,

  • capacity of one room — up to 50 people.

Hobbit House shelters fully comply with these requirements and exceed the key parameters.
Our structures withstand blast waves up to 300 kPa (three times higher than the standard), feature 300 mm thick reinforced concrete walls, and a buttress system.

Installation takes up to 48 hours without the need for a foundation. This enables rapid protection of enterprises, schools, medical facilities, and critical infrastructure.

Hobbit House continues to strengthen its position as a reliable manufacturer of shelters, ready for the toughest challenges and the latest state standards.
