The Challenge: Team Safety Without Halting Work Processes Providing shelter for people is an absolute priority for any enterprise or community. However, the client had a key requirement: installing the protective structure must not turn the territory into a months-long construction site. Pouring concrete outdoors would mean mud, weather dependency, and, most importantly, the risk of halting standard operational processes. The solution was the Hobbit House modular technology, which provides reliable protection quickly and without construction chaos.
Our Solution and Implementation We rejected classic on-site construction in favor of factory quality and modular assembly:
Factory-Grade Concrete Quality: All reinforced concrete modules were cast under strictly controlled conditions at our production facility. This eliminates human error and guarantees the benchmark strength of every component.
Installation Instead of Prolonged Construction: The pre-cast reinforced concrete object arrived at the client's location ready for assembly. Our team promptly assembled the modules, allowing the enterprise to operate normally during the installation.
Engineering Reliability of the "Fortress 3.5" Model We design shelters based on real threats and strict state standards. This facility, measuring nearly 25 meters in length, combines key protective features:
Arch Geometry and Counterforts: Instead of vulnerable straight walls, we use an arched shape, further reinforced by massive counterforts (buttresses). This design perfectly distributes the load and effectively absorbs the pressure from shockwaves.
Protective Vestibule: The object is equipped with a well-designed vestibule (airlock), which serves as an additional buffer against shockwaves and shrapnel.
Proven on the Testing Ground and Frontline: Our structures are already successfully saving lives on the frontlines. The model has passed rigorous field tests, proving its ability to withstand ultra-high pressure of 500 kPa.
Official Certification: The shelter holds a DSTU certificate (State Standard of Ukraine). This guarantees 100% compliance with state regulations and saves the client from any issues during inspections.
Bottom Line: The client received a certified, ultra-strong space to protect people, while maintaining the continuity of their work and the peace of mind of the management.
