Demand for modular shelters in Ukraine has grown severalfold in recent years: businesses protect their staff, communities set up safe spaces, and schools are required by law to have shelters. With demand came offers of very different quality — so "where and how to buy a modular shelter" has become a question of safety, not price. Here is what we've learned across 600+ completed sites.

Why the seller matters

A modular shelter is not an off-the-shelf product but an engineered structure lives depend on. When one team produces, delivers and installs it, that same team carries full responsibility for the result. That's why buying directly from the manufacturer remains the most reliable path: no gaps in accountability between who made it and who installed it.

What to check before buying

• Certification. Primary mobile shelters fall under DSTU 9329:2025, and the structure must comply with DBN V.2.2-5:2023.
• Testing. A paper calculation is not proof. Our shelters, for example, passed full-scale proving-ground tests: 100–500 kPa overpressure, a 120 mm mine blast and direct fire from a T-72 tank.
• Real sites. Look at where the maker's shelters already stand. Ours operate across Ukraine, including front-line communities, as well as in Estonia and Poland.

How the process usually works

An engineer first selects a model — above-ground or underground — for the site and headcount. The shelter is then produced (our facilities run in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Bila Tserkva), delivered and installed. On-site installation of a modular shelter takes from 8 hours — the site keeps working.

The main thing

Buying a modular shelter today is easy — buying one that truly protects is not. Choose by evidence: certificate, testing, completed sites. Everything else is detail a good manufacturer takes care of.
