Description

Today’s global threats dictate their own living conditions and require a responsible attitude to safety. Cataclysms, natural disasters, wars – all of this forces people to modernize the world around them, create more functional appliances, use natural energy sources, and, of course, build strong housing and special protective structures.

Construction company Hobbit House

The Lviv-based construction company Hobbit House has been operating for a long time. The company now specializes in ground and underground shelters. The architects collaborate with well-known brands such as Elematic (Finland) and Progress (Germany and Italy). Many years of experience allowed us to create optimal designs using the experience of other countries, namely Turkey, Germany and Israel. The storage facilities have come in handy recently, when scientists started talking about a meteorite that is about to hit the Earth, when there was a danger of nuclear weapons use, and when military operations began.

Currently, there is a ban on teaching children offline if the buildings (kindergarten or school) do not have specially equipped basements with adequate ventilation, access to clean water, and necessary furniture. That’s when Hobbit House comes to the rescue.

Features of shelters

The company has developed modular shelters that meet state requirements and DSTU standards. The latest technology is patented and has already successfully passed the necessary tests. The material used to build the storage facilities is concrete of class B35-B40. Its strength is sufficient to protect against attacks from the elements, airborne hazards, and even a nuclear explosion. The shelter is reinforced with heat-strengthened reinforcement. It is made of alloyed low-carbon steels. Its thickness is 10 mm. As for the walls and the domed ceiling, they are 10 cm and 15 cm thick, respectively. This type of upper part guarantees protection against the blast wave.

The firm offers several designs for different situations, including:

  • bathhouses of several modifications;
  • stop-shelter;
  • hotel room;
  • civil defense shelters;
  • cellar.

The authors of the project name the following advantages of modular civilian shelters: high-quality selection of materials of appropriate strength, quick installation, the ability to mix parts of the structure, arched construction, extreme energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness. In addition, they are easy to install in areas with difficult terrain.

To achieve maximum safety, the bunker should be 1 meter deep and have a 2.1 meter high embankment. This concept makes it look like a fairy tale miniature house.

Protective bath carriage

The basic version of this type of storage consists of a small vestibule, a main room separated by an arch, and a bath room. Convenience lies in the oblong shape of the ” carriage”, which is easy to place on the selected site. If necessary, you can additionally install a toilet (in a separate module), wardrobes, tables, benches, shelves, electrical appliances, Wi-Fi, and more. Interestingly, the ventilation pipe is a source of sunlight if there is no electricity.

Who installs protective structures

Hobbit House shelters are ordered by businessmen, individuals, and government agencies. The specifics of the bath are more suitable for hotels that want to provide guests with reliable protection in case of emergencies or simply offer an interesting option. After all, the unusual appearance makes the site original and will certainly arouse the interest of visitors. It is also a great solution for private homes. In addition to its protective function, the bathhouse can also serve as a cellar for storing valuables and food in peacetime.
